1) Objectives and Goals - by 2Coats
The aim of Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power is to achieve victory against either computer controlled or human opponents on an ever-changing battlefield. The player must therefore strive for ‘strategic goals’ through the attainment of ‘tactical objectives’.
2) Battlefield Environment - by 2Coats
A commander's appreciation of the tactical objectives will only go so far in helping to attain victory. In Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power, the environment will play an important role in how each battle unfolds.
Understanding how terrain, the weather and the day-night cycle affect the conduct of combat may be the difference between victory and defeat. Terrain impacts units in different ways, depending on whether the unit is attacking or defending.
3) The Principles of Combat - by 2Coats
For all the plans a commander makes, only victory in battle ultimately determines success. In Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power every confrontation is different, but several principles should guide the hand of any armchair general.
4) Bases and Technology - by 2Coats
In Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power, a base is a vital asset in the commander’s arsenal.
All base activities are conducted during the Recruitment Phase, after combat, but before the opposition’s turn. Therefore, it is imperative that any repaired or newly conscripted units are not within harms way of possible enemy attack.
